Nordic Rheology Conference 2003

Scope and theme

The conference aim were as usual to cover all aspects on rheology and this year, special focus was placed on "Suspensions and Emulsions". The aim was to arrive at large gathering of people interested in the science and the technological developments in the field. The conference was held at the Nordic House in Tórshavn. Topics within the theme was covered by plenary lectures by specially invited speakers. We would also like to draw your attention to the rheology course, which was held a day before the conference at the University of Faroe Islands. This course was given excellent access to topical Rhelogy subject.

Invited speakers

Plenary lectures was held within the theme of the conference. The following renowned scientists had agreed to contribute to the meeting with a lecture on their special area of interest:

David Boger  (Australia), Henning Winter  (USA), Arild Saasen (Norway) and Kevin Taylor (Saudi Arabia).

Conference programme

There was a mixture of plenary lectures by the invited speakers and contributions from NRS members and others. The topics will cover all aspects of rheology with the plenary lectures representing the special theme. There wasl also a poster presentation and an exhibition by rheology companies. The Annual Meeting of NRS was held in connection with the conference programme.
