Nordic Rheology Conference 2005

The 14th Nordic Rheology Conference will take place from Wednesday 1st of June till Friday 3rd of June 2005 at Tampere University of Technology. Tampere is the third largest city in Finland with population of over 200 000 inhabitants, and is located 173 kilometres north of the capital, Helsinki. Tampere airport can be reached by direct flights from Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Scope and theme

The conference aim were as usual to cover all aspects of rheology and this year, special focus was placed on “Rheology of Processing” dealing mainly with rheological aspects in processing of polymeric materials and composites.

Invited speakers

 The invited speakers were

  • Prof. Salvatore Iannace, IMCB-CNR & University of Naples, Italy.

  • Prof. Jean L. Leblanc, Pierre & Marie Curie University, France

  • Benoît Debbaut, Fluent Benelux, Belgium

Rheology course

Prior to the conference, a rheology course was held at the 1th of June. This course was gave a good basic knowledge of the fundamentals of rheology to make it easier to understand more complicated topics discussed during the conference.
